Here is Dakota 1 of 2 excellently bred, sane, sound geldings we "rescued" in February 2006. The story is the same for each of them. We picked them up in the winter. It was a case of not needing 2 more horses to feed during a drought winter but they needed to be moved. We have spent months filling them in and hopefully getting them caught up nutrition wise. They were both extremely under handled either in hand or started on anything. Have re-halter broke, taught to lead, trailer, pick, trim, tie. Have done shots with them with neither having any huge vetting issues this summer. We think that they are ready to get on with their lives and as we watch them progress realize while they would make excellent trail horses their breeding and potential out weigh what we would use them for. We have these boys with full support of their breeder that still have dams and sire on their property to view.

Does have a lump on left neck from going head over as a foal. Had range of motion issues as 1yr but we have not seen anything. Compensated, outgrown, fused? We have kept the neck adjust regularly and have seen no additional faults, sound.
